I enjoyed the free-flowing character of watercolour when i have very little time to work with oil on canvas. It was a good painting process exploring with minimal colour palette. At first i was just randomly painting dog, fox, birds and suddenly more and more cats appeared! Now i got some ideas to work for my next book about a fisherman and his cats. The image of Frida Khalo only came in lately when i was doing a research about her life as an artist after watching the movie. What do you think about her self portrait in blue hues?
